Project Cargo Services

We offer Project Cargo Services for over-dimensional cargo (Project Cargo/Heavy lift /ODC) mainly in special equipment such as oilfield equipment, power plants etc. All these projects are executed on a turnkey basis. We have worldwide network of associates, which consist of freight forwarders, vessel owners, transport equipment owners etc. This assists us in ensuring safe and timely delivery of consignments. The project work begins with packaging of the air or general cargo at the factory site till delivery of the cargo at the required destination anywhere in the world. We offer expert consultation on oversized and odd-dimensional or Turnkey projects.

Advantages of Project Cargo

• OverSized Cargo - it becomes easier for shippers to move oversized, over-weight items that wouldn't otherwise fit into a container or cargo bin.
• Less Time - since the item will not have to be dismantled while shipping. Breakbulk shipping also beneficial in terms of speed.

Types Of Cargo

• Bagged cargo - Bagged cargo (e.g. coffee in sacks) is stowed on double dunnage and kept clear of the ship's sides and bulk heads.
• Baled goods - Baled goods are stowed on single dunnage at least 50 mm (2 in) thick.Stained or oily bales are rejected.
• Barrels and casks - Barrels which are also known as casks or tuns are primarily use for transporting liquids such as wine, water, brandy, whiskey, and even oil.
• Motor vehicles - Automobiles are lifted on board and then secured using lashings.

• Mini Bulk Carrier - Dead weight tonnage – it is less than 10,000, Cargo Holds – have less than 5, Type Of Cargo – They typically carry minor or general cargoes.
• Small Bulk Carrier - Dead weight tonnage – it is between 10,000 to 25,000, Cargo Holds – have less than 5, Type Of Cargo – They carry minor bulk or steel products in general.
• Handy Size Carriers- Dead weight tonnage – it is between 25,000 to 40,000, Cargo Holds – have less than 5, Type Of Cargo – They carry minor bulk or steel products in general.
• Handymax Carriers - Dead weight tonnage – it is between 40,000 to 60,000, Cargo Holds – have less than 5, Type Of Cargo – In general, they carry Minor Bulk, Steel products, Coal and Grains.
• Panamax Carriers - Dead weight tonnage – it is between 60,000 to 100,000, Cargo Holds – have less than 7, Type Of Cargo – They generally carry Bauxite, coal, grain, Ore, Phosphate etc.
• Capesize Bulk Carrier - Dead weight tonnage – it is between 100,000 to 200,000, Cargo Holds – have less than 9, Type Of Cargo – They are completely gearless with no cranes or derricks and completely rely onshore facilities for loading and discharging.
• VLBC (Very Large Bulk Carriers) - Dead weight tonnage – it is over 200,000, Cargo Holds – have more than 9, Type Of Cargo – They are completely gearless with no cranes or derricks and completely rely onshore facilities for loading and discharging.
